Sydney Specials – February 24
The Autumn carnival really is upon us now and there is a tremendous program at Rosehill with value everywhere.
For that reason we are looking for horses at odds who can run very nice races and give you a sweet return.
From his soft gate, more than happy to speck Marsupial in a very good three year old race over 5 1⁄2 f.
In the trial, he left well but was drawn so wide from his gate so was forced to snag and get right back. This barrier will allow him to position much closer.
Marsupial did start hard in the betting in the Heritage Stakes and has form around some very nice rivals in his own age bracket.
This is his preparation to shine and he should be bouncing out and striding home hard.
Later on we are going to follow up on a Chris Waller horse who just needed a win for confidence.
Carzoff has been fancied a few times and not won but maybe the secret is to have his runs spaced.
Off a month off and a trial he found a nice spot at Randwick and let go late. He has the same set of circumstances here with the month’s break and trial.
However one big difference is all his racing in Australia has been mainly with 128lbs or higher.
This time he is on the limit and has the flying jockey Brenton Avdulla staying
At the odds he is definitely an each way play.
