It's Winter Finals Day at Flemington, one of the top betting cards on the calendar, and The Melbourne Mail is keen to play the feature.

We're so keen to play up on the feature that we are going to do it twice - finding both our play of the day and each way play in the same contest.
Ozi Choice and Magic Consul have been the high-rating heroes of the winter leading into Finals Day, and both take their chance in the Final on Saturday, but both look prime candidates to crash through the floor in the eyes of The Melbourne Mail.
Ozi Choice has to show his form at a mile and Magic Consul has to repeat a performance that he arguably had been unable to produce in 55 runs prior.
Cool Chap, runner up to Ozi Choice in that flying 7 f, will be much better served up to the mile now and having skipped the 'tweener he arrives fresh and ready to reproduce at that level - perhaps even a touch higher.
$13.00. Yep we'll take some of that.
In the same race worked home Morton's Fork. He was just first-up there and the run said he was back in top order. He didn't improve in form terms second-up but his closing splits pointed to him having much more to offer having been too far from a tempo that was slightly steadier than true.
Like Cool Chap, perhaps even more he looks to have been left to peak on Saturday in the Final, as opposed to having peaked in the lead-up. It's a likeable profile and one worth of the bet-of-the-day stamp at HQ on Saturday.
THE MELBOURNE MAIL
