Hangang Ace, Fantastic Kingdom head markets for final Juvenile Trials

The road to Champion Juvenile has its penultimate stops on Sunday as Seoul and Busan host their final prep races before the best youngsters from the two tracks come together in the Breeders’ Cup on the first Sunday of December.

A decent field of eleven will assemble for the NACF Chairman's Trophy (1200M Listed) at Seoul. Hangang Ace  was a good winner of the Munhwa Ilbo Trophy from a wide barrier. He has plenty of natural speed and the benefit of a nice draw this time so it would be no surprise o see him follow up.

Kwaehyang  will be in the market, having run 2nd in the Munhwa Ilbo. He wasn't able to race forward that day even under a hard ride, but he settled midfield and then finished off very well. He may get a softer run this time and while ultimately, he will probably be looking for more distance, he can be in this.

Coming into the race with a perfect record is MONSTER POWER. The Menifee colt from the Luigi Riccardi stable is two from two and while this is his sternest engagement to date, he ran a good time at this distance last start and is on the improve.

Sun Dragon , a winner for two from three so far, will get plenty of backing, but another worth thought is SAENAE TOWN. He ran 4th in the Munhwa Ilbo at what was just start number two for him. He settled midfield and ran on and all indications are he can bring more this time.

At Busan, Fantastic Kingdom  will start as a warm favourite for the Gimhae Mayor's Trophy (1200M Listed) ahead of seven rivals. He won the Busan Rookie Stakes with an all the way effort at the end of August and then repeated the trick with a big win on the Areumdaun Jilju Stakes on October 2nd, both over the same six-furlong trip. His only defeat came on his debut at five-furlongs back in June and from a nice gate, he will be expected to lead and go all the way again.

Jeulgeounyeojeong  was runner-up in the Rookie Stakes and then, like all the rest of that day's beaten horses, declined to face Fantastic Kingdom in the Areumdaun. Instead, she tackled the 7 f distance at class 4 level at the end of September and ran out a very good winner, taking things up at the top of the straight and running on well. She has two wins and two 2nd place finishes from four starts and should be kept safe.

An interesting entrant is CHOICE RUN. He didn't go in either the Rookie or the Areumdaun but has won his latest two efforts at 5 f and 6 f. This is a rise in class and he likes to race forward so does have the challenge of some quick ones on his inside.

Potential improver is BUDDY BUDDY, who has only raced twice, but got his maiden win at start number two over 5 f when making all on September 23rd. He will find this a lot tougher but he has scope for plenty of development.

The NACF Chairman's Trophy is race 8 on the 11-race Sunday card at Seoul with a local post time of 16:15. It is then immediately followed by the Gimhae Mayor's Trophy, which is the concluding event on the 6-race program at Busan at 16:40.
