NEXT UP

Juvenile maidens with six of the eleven racing for the first time. We'll side with experience though and MIRACLE HANGANG, who comes in here for the third time having run 2nd and 3rd in his first two appearances, both at this distance and both times leading. He draws very nicely to get to the lead here and he should exit what has been an extremely lucrative class 6 for his connections as a winner. Having won a trial, RAON THE FANTA was sent off as favourite on debut over his distance on August 5th. She raced handily throughout and ran on for 3rd. She should have derived benefit from the experience and with some natural improvement can go closer here. GOLDEN LINE has raced twice before and has posted decent times, especially when 3rd on debut. He was well beaten by Miracle Hangang last time out but should be in the placing mix here. Among the debut makers WATZUI YEOWANG and CUPID MIR look the best at this stage.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 60 Million

Juvenile maidens with seven of the eleven racing for the first time. GEUMAK JINJU will be hot favourite. She ran a strong 3rd on debut on July 22nd over this distance having been handy throughout. She won't need to improve much on that to win here. (11) SINUI YEOJE debuted in the same race, finishing 5th having been on pace for much of the way around. She too should have benefitted for the experience and with some natural improvement can get closer today. CHOEGANG TIME looks the best of the debut-makers. He was on pace in his trial, crossing the line 3rd in a fair time. If he can bring that form to the races, he won't be far away. GANGCHEOL DRAGON and CHAMJOEUN JILJU other first-timers who could make an impression.

Seoul Race 3: Class 4 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

A maiden for imports (northern hemisphere two-year-olds and southern hemisphere three-year-olds) and seven of the eleven are racing for the first time. The favourite is one of those with experience and that's PANORAMA KING. Having won a trial, he was the market leader on debut over this distance on August 5th but came home 3rd. He should have come on for the run and should win this. (11) UWARYUNG has raced twice, finishing 2nd and 3rd coming off the pace both times. She should be there or thereabouts again. LUCKY HANUL raced fairly for 5th in her debut in July and she too can be getting closer with some natural improvement. Among the debut-makers, EOSEOMAREULHAE is the standout, having made all in a trial in a quick time on August 18th alongside some experienced racehorses (it was a voluntary trial so be aware it may not appear in all race cards). If he brings that form to the races, a win isn't out of the question. HERO LEGEND has been through three trials and seems to be getting the hang of things.

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

A very modest maiden. We'll need to draw a line through his latest but KING GO TAEYANG is probably the one to beat here. Last time out he drew the widest gate and while he used up plenty to get to a forward position, he didn't have much left over 6 1⁄2 f. He comes into a much better gate today and going on his 2nd place at this distance two starts back, he has every chance. MUNHAK CENTRAL has picked up a bit in her latest couple of appearances. She has run fair times and shouldn't be far away here. (12) NAOL ROONEY has finished 4th in all three of her outings so far. She may need a touch of luck from the widest gate but if she can get on or close to the speed, she should be in this a long way.  MISTER STAR and NEMO SPIRIT others in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 5: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Fillies only in this maiden and it is wide open. CLASS HEEMANG has raced just the twice and there was more than a year between them. She ran well on her return on August 6th, sitting at the back of the field from a wide draw before running on well for 4th. She should strip fitter for that run and Moon Se-young climbing on will tempt plenty. VELVETY has shown steady improvement across four starts so far with a 4th and a 3rd from her latest two, most recently at this distance on August 6th when she settled midfield and ran She draws nicely today to sit on pace or handy and with a bit more progression, she can win. WONDERFUL FOX has been very consistent with five finishes between 3rd and 5th. She likes to settle back and has a good finish on her, and she should be aiming for a career best placing here. MENI CHARM and MENI SHARK the other placing chances.

Seoul Race 6: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(5) MIGHTY TAP debuted indifferently last autumn and then wasn't seen for eight months. He trialled nondescriptly in July but put in a more than decent effort on his racing return on August 6th, settling back and then running on for 5th over 6 f. He should have derived plenty of benefit from that run, the step up in trip can suit, and in this modest company, he can win. HEY MAMA comes in off a career best 3rd place over 6 1⁄2 f on August 5th when handy throughout. There isn't much early speed her so from a good gate, she should get and easy run to the lead and she should be looking to get another best ever finish. An inside draw should also benefit TRES VITE. He led over this distance on August 6th, ultimately finishing 5th and should be in it a little longer this time around. The form tails off after those three with POWER ETCHED and HAENGBOKAN BEOMI perhaps ones who can step up.

Seoul Race 7: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Finally a race that isn't a maiden. TRAUM KING registered his first career win on August 5th when overcoming gate eleven to sit handy and then run on well over 6 f. He comes up in class here but is down in the weights and comes into a much better gate. He looks to have potential for plenty of improvement still and he can win again here. (10) MIGHTY SSEN returned from a nine-month absence to get his maiden win over 6 f on the same day as Traum King. He too overcame a wide draw to sit handy and run on and while he faces the challenge of gate ten here, he too should be more than capable of fitting in at this class. LOVE COWGIRL was a winner on debut in May, making all. She has since put in a 4th and a 3rd in two tries at this class and from an on-pace position, she should be going close again. STUNNING LADY and (11) GOOD CABO others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) BULGOM MADRE was a very smart winner over this distance at class 5 level back in January but then suffered a setback that kept her out until July. She ran pleasingly on her return for 4th place at this class and distance in a good time, having started slowly and settled back. She should strip fitter for that run, and she can return to winning ways here. SPECIALTIME is two for two and is rapidly up in class, most recently leading all the way to narrowly score over 6 1⁄2 f. This is a sterner test, but she draws very nicely, she carries a very light weight, and she couple well maintain that 100% record here. AMAZON KING enters off a strong 3rd place at class and distance on August 6th. He comes up 7lbs in the weights as a result, but he should be in the mix again. NAOL CHEONJI and TUHON TEUKGEUP others in the minor money frame.

Seoul Race 9: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(4) ZIGGURAT ran 2nd in both his first two appearances, both in rich juvenile maidens over 5 f in decent times and on both occasions doing his best work late Ostensibly he comes up in class here, but the opposition isn't any stronger, he comes down significantly in the weights, and the additional furlong should suit him. KARIZMA is similarly up in class following back-to-back runner-up finishes, in his case over 6 f and 6 1⁄2 f. He too is down 7lbs in the weights, he draws well, and he can be a danger. WONDERFUL SHADOW has plenty of experience at this class and enters with recent form reading consistently well. She has a 2nd and a 3rd from her latest two, both times racing on pace and while she draws a touch wider than ideal, she should have enough about her to get forward again and can be in this a long way. FEDERAL KING and HWANGWOO GANGJA others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million 

Wide open finale. Several of these raced each other at class and distance on August 6th and we'll give another chance to that day's favourite ANOTHER LEVEL. At the start before she made all over 1 1⁄16 m and her form had been consistent. While she was beaten by a couple of these when 4th in that August race, she can go better this time. BERRING MAN came home in 2nd place in the August 6th race, settling midfield and running on well. He comes up 7lbs as a result but should be firmly in the mix again. Between Another Leve and Berring Man in that race was SUPER ECTON, who sat handy throughout and can put in a similar run here. Turning away from that August 6th race, AKDONG ARGO was a good winner at this class over 6 f last time out and while significantly up in trip, could be a danger. BODY STAR another who can enter the calculations.
